Tell us about your game!
Titan Isles is a fast-paced, bullet hell, action-shooter title that throws you and up to three friends into Toska, a world shattered by the awakening of mysterious, colossal Titans. Using ultra-powerful Exo Suits that arm you with one of four unique traversal equipment and weapon combos, you’ll track down each Titan with the aim to annihilate them and any robotic enemies that stand in your way.
How many people in your team/studio?
We are a very small studio of only 5 full time people, though including contractors, voice actors, playtesters etc, over 55 people contributed to make Titan Isles the fantastic game it is.
What was your inspiration in creating this game?
The idea for Titan Isles was formed before the launch of Windlands 2, and was born from a desire to improve that game's (very few) shortcomings, notably replayability and gameplay variety. So, in a way, Titan Isles is the next evolution of Windlands, but a much larger step up through its four completely unique gameplay styles.
Why did you choose the setting of giant Titans (other than being really cool!)?

We've always loved the unique sense of scale that VR can provide. Players love to feel powerful in VR, but they also still like to feel challenged. We accomplish this by providing players a great deal of powerful weaponry and traversal equipment through our four Exo Suits and plenty of enemies to destroy, but the giant Titans will always feel formidable in spite of that power.
What were your most interesting technical challenges?

Developing a game on this scale, with such large worlds and great draw distances (fun fact, you can see the entire world biome you're in at any time from a high enough vantage point) is intensely difficult, especially on a mobile chipset. We also decided to continue support for Quest 2, as there are many players on that device still. So getting that running smoothly was a strong challenge, one that our team did a remarkable job overcoming.
When did you first learn about bHaptics?
We've been aware of bHaptics for a long time. Feels like it's been almost a decade perhaps?
Why did you choose to integrate Titan Isles?
We've often been keen to incorporate accessories that make the game more immersive for more people, and supporting bHaptics natively in Titan Isles was no question for us. We also just love using bHaptics ourselves, so really it was a no-brainer.
You have another title that is bHaptics Ready - Windlands 2! How was the integration process different?

Integration was a lot easier this time around, partially due to the improvement in the bHaptics SDK, but also partially because we've become familiar with the implementation since doing this for Windlands 2.
