Korean Ambassador Interview: JangMaGun

Meet JangMaGun, the guy putting bHaptics gear through the wringer in Korea.

———

Hi JangMaGun, please introduce yourself briefly and tell us what kind of content you usually create.

———

JangMaGun:

Hello, I'm JangMaGun. I currently stream and post videos — gaming, talk content, you name it — on YouTube and CHZZK, a Korean streaming platform. Nice to meet you all.

I mostly upload general gaming videos and talk-show style clips.

I used to focus on foreign-language and vocal-impression videos. These days my main content is gaming with the haptic suit on, plus the occasional cosplay clip.

**He's gone viral playing rhythm games like Taiko no Tatsujin and other stunt gaming content.

———

Q. How did you first hear about bHaptics?

A. Honestly, I knew the concept of a "haptic suit" before I knew bHaptics by name. If you're on YouTube or in the streaming scene, you've heard of haptic suits at some point, right?

I'd seen plenty of other streamers wearing them in videos — doing all kinds of crazy stuff — and that's how I found out gear like this existed.

———

Q. What was your first impression when you actually tried it?

A. My honest first thought was, "Is it really that intense?"

Every time I watched haptic-suit videos on YouTube and saw streamers screaming at every donation alert, I always wondered how real it actually was.

———

Q. What kind of content or environment do you mostly use bHaptics products in these days?

I now use bHaptics gear when I game myself. Although honestly, my viewers prefer watching me suffer through games while wearing the suit.

*A feeling that's hard to put into words.

———

Q. Was there a moment that really stood out — something especially memorable or fun?

The first game I played in the haptic suit — Taiko no Tatsujin — was probably the most fun. My viewership went up roughly 10× that day.

Nobody had really tried playing a rhythm game in a haptic suit before, so I wanted to be the one to try it.

———

Q. Were there any games or content where having bHaptics really pulled you in?

Well, the whole point of bHaptics is reacting to the impacts, sounds, and vibrations in a game — so I'd say FPS and rhythm games, the ones that really lean into that, are where the immersion kicks in hardest.

———

Q. What was it like visiting our office in person?

It was great! Especially seeing my photo up on the monitors in the lobby — I still get a little red in the face thinking about it (haha).

*The day JangMaGun visited bHaptics — he took photos and signed autographs with one of our staff who happens to be a huge fan.

———

Q. Beyond the TactSuit, you also tried other products. What differences or appeal did you find?

I got to try the gloves and the sleeve at the office, and I was honestly amazed at how detailed the experience can get. Human curiosity is a scary thing — but in this case, it produces some really cool results (haha).

*A range of bHaptics products: the DK2 Glove and the haptic sleeve.

———

Q. Any content, games, or collaboration ideas you think would pair well with bHaptics going forward?

Since the products are really geared toward gaming, I think content with pro-level players going all-in with the suit, or pairing it with challenge games like PEAK, could work really well.

———

Q. Anything you'd like to see added or improved in future bHaptics products?

Everyone feels vibrations differently, so I'd love a stronger, more punchy vibration that really hits.

*Note: this is purely the ambassador's personal opinion. Vibration intensity is capped for safety reasons.

———

Q. Finally, anything you'd like to say to bHaptics?

I started out just making YouTube videos to enjoy the product, and I never in my wildest dreams imagined I'd end up partnering with bHaptics as an ambassador. You really never know how life will turn out.

I'm looking forward to enjoying many more games with bHaptics gear going forward.

And honestly, under the name of "partner," they keep dragging me back to the office — (mmph mmph)

I'll stop there.
